UNCONFIRMED DETAILS (but stuff we are working on)

1. Limited number of camping spots on the field owner's property. This may or may not be possible. If not, there will be a list of options available (other campgrounds, hotels close by, etc)

2. Night game(s) This would depend on the field owner, and his neighbors. There would be a time limit for the games.

MARKERS AND MARKER RESTRICTIONS

1. ANY paintball marker is usable, as long as it fires either a .68 cal ball, or a .43 cal ball. That being said, I will need to know how many people plan on bringing .43 markers to the game.

The scenario for the 1st Annual Meet and Greet has been finalized.  Based on the recently released local film "The Phantom Brigade" and a paintball scenario that ran for an entire season, MilSim team Paintball is proud to bring you a new installment.

The Red Delta Wars

Location: North Tali, United Union controlled territory.

A group belonging to the terrorist faction, the Red Delta has claimed responsibility to recent attacks on government strongholds.  The I.C.E., the International Counter-terror Endeavor is quickly dispatched to disarm and eliminate the Red Delta threat.

Day one: Team one will take on the role of the I.C.E.

Day two: Roles are reversed and Team two will try their hand as the I.C.E.

A little tidbit from the novel...

He took a moment to brace himself as he jumped over the next downed tree on the trail. His tasking for the day was simple; patrol the out lands and keep checking into the network. Boring, he knew that all to well but it was better than sitting doing nothing back at HQ. The planned arrival of Sirius, the High Commander of The Red Delta was the cause for all the new security. Sirius wished to see the progress of this United Union controlled area. Much was to be done before the Delta would invade the lower lands of the South Tali basin.
His steps were slower now as he walked down the easterly border. 'Around the bend and back again', he said in his head as he looked ahead at the countless acres of green. He was sick of the forest and had wished he was on patrol at the mine instead. However as he turned the next bend he heard a low drone and quickly hid behind a thick shrub. Through his scope he could see the blurred outline of a convoy in the distance. He could just make out the logo on the door panels. "Oh no," he hushed. "They found us."

There will be NO camping available at the field as per requested by field owner.

The event is ready to go, we start at 9:00am arrival time for players ... brief you guys and gals on the rules and stuff, then we play until around 5:00pm.

Day two will run much the same, with a debrief at the end.

Teams will be divided at the field, as well as your positions in the team.  It would be good to have an idea of what role you want.  The roles are as follows:

Commander- The only player that can read mission cards.  This role is in charge of troop movement and mission deployment.
Medic- Can bring you back if tagged on the field.  Head shots are eliminations and you must respawn.  Medics cannot heal themselves, but can be healed by another medic.
Engineer- Their job is to preform special tasks on the field like bomb disarming and object recovery. This role can also "repair" you marker should it get tagged.
Soldier- The support for the team.  Infantry is their name.
Sniper- Sharpshooters and marksmen, this role  provides the key to getting in undetected.  They also serve as recon.

(All basic paintball rules apply)
Specialized scenario rules:
- Since you are on an active field during the day, never remove you mask.  Should you need to remove you mask, signal a referee.
- Points are only assigned for completed missions, not for tags.  Players are not worth points if eliminated.  Partially completed mission may be worth half the points.
- If hit and the paint breaks you may call for a medic to "heal" you.  Head shots are eliminations and you will need to respawn.
- Marker hits disable the use of that marker until it can be "fixed" by the engineer.  You may switch to a second marker until the first is repaired.  If you respawn your marker also repaired.
- Respawn bunkers are gained through capture.  Teams do not have a respawn bunker at the start of the game.  The bunker must be captured and held by the team.  To capture the bunker, the team must clear the bunker and fly their coloured flag on the bunker.  Bunkers used for respawns are marked on the map provided.
- Some missions are continued throughout the day, meaning the other team can re-take an objective or steal a captured artifact.  Missions involving "characters" are only played out once, not throughout the day.  For example if you team was to capture a bridge on the field, the other team can at anytime re-take the bridge.  If a team must rescue a person, once that person is rescued that mission is over for the day... so be very aware of what ground you hold and where your artifacts are.
- There are landmines and other such devices in use on the field.  Hits from landmines count as elimination and you MUST respawn.  The same goes for grenade hits.
- If carrying a prop and you are hit, even if you are not eliminated and waiting for a medic drop the item on the ground.  Do not hide it.  If you are eliminated you MUST drop the item somewhere it can be found.  Don't hide it.

Thank you to all the attended the event!  This was a testing platform to a annual Canadian tradition we intend to keep up.

A big thanks goes to our sponsors, Canadian paintball for the air and paint (and some soft goods), Urban Tactical for some of the soft goods, Battlecry Wargames- Morgan and Mike for the use of their field, MilSim Team Paintball for stepping up and putting their necks out there....

It wasn't an easy task to complete since there was not as much support from local contacts (other than the one's mentioned above)  The event organizers and coordinators did a lot of extra work on getting the field ready and running the event. It was the little scenario event that could!

So without a doubt, it was a HUGE success!!  Operators from four provinces were in attendance at the game.  The boards are buzzing with stories of the missions and all the friends that were made.

Looking forward to next year! There are rumors and rumblings of Ontario.
